What data do we collect?

MXCheck collects the following data:

  • Full Name, Email and password for any users who sign-up for an MXCheck account.
  • Users who upgrade to a paid account will be asked for additional information, including financial information, required to process payment for their subscription.
  • Statistical and technical information about your use of our website, including IP Address, User Agent (Browser) information, language preferences and referring website(s).

How do we collect your data?

You directly provide MXCheck with most of the data we collect. We collect data and process data when you:

  • Register online or place an order for any of our products or services.
  • Add domains, IP addresses or other entities to be monitored by our systems.
  • Voluntarily complete a customer survey or send us email.
  • Use or view our website via your browser’s cookies.

How will we use your data?

MXCheck collects your data so that we can:

  • Let you know about updates to our products and services where you have indicated you wish to receive such updates.
  • Issue customized alerts and notifications.
  • Process subscriptions and manage your account.

If you agree, MXCheck will share some of your data with certain 3rd parties in order to fulfill our service:

  • Paypal for payment processing/subscription services

When MXCheck processes your order, it may send your data to, and also use the resulting information from, credit reference agencies to prevent fraudulent purchases.

How do we store your data?

MXCheck securely stores your data on servers hosted with our provider Hetzner Online GmbH or Hetzner Finland Oy.

MXCheck will keep your account data for as long as you indicate you wish to maintain our service. When an account is deleted we will immediately delete all your data. After 30 days all backups of your data will expire. After 90 days all logging data related to your account will expire.

MXCheck retains 90 days of log data about your use of our service after which it is automatically deleted.

Marketing

MXCheck would like to send you information about updates and improvements to our products. We will not share your data with 3rd parties.

If you have agreed to receive marketing, you may always opt out at a later date.

You have the right at any time to stop MXCheck from contacting you for marketing purposes.

What are your data protection rights?

MXCheck would like to make sure you are fully aware of all of your data protection rights. Every user is entitled to the following:

The right to access – You have the right to request MXCheck for copies of your personal data. We may charge you a small fee for this service.
